Lucky Prime Suite is comprised of 13 short works for unaccompanied keyboard percussion with one common characteristic: each contains exactly 127 notes. Envisioned as musicianship etudes or short encore works, each solo is engraved on a single page, reflects the adjective for which it is titled, and is scored thoughtfully for marimba (six selections) or vibraphone (seven selections). Lucky Prime Suite can be used for performance, whether individually, in a select set of pieces, or as a complete suite, or for the study of two-mallet keyboard percussion technique and musicianship through
the interpretation and realization of articulations, dynamics, and phrasing indications.
