O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is a beautiful advent hymn written, the music for which was written over 800 years ago. This percussion ensemble version was adapted from an arrangement originally created for solo vibraphone in the collection A Christmas Vibe. The piece opens in a Gregorian chant-like setting before transitioning smoothly into a relaxed jazz waltz. Playable by seven percussionists with an optional bass part, this work is an excellent addition to any high school or college holiday concert.

This is a simple yet effective percussion ensemble arrangement for high school or young college ensembles.  None of the parts are very challenging and it would provide a contrast on a Christmas program. – Dave Gerhart
